Steve and Bob Petro appeared before the Warsaw Plan Commission requesting an amendment to the zoning ordinance to establish a planned unit development and to receive preliminary plat approval. The men own Petro Brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Petro Olds Buick Pontiac Cadillac GMC Inc. and plan to further develop the surrounding property with strip malls to the south and west of the car dealerships.

Members of the 1986 Warsaw Tigers boys cross country team are Sean Koos, Ralph Dagnall, Tim Haines, Mark Snodgrass, Jeff Bridge, Mike Harkness, Jared Hamilton, Eric Johnson, Pat Fuller, Dan Moon, Bill Bibler, Ryan Weihler and Tyler Peguignot. Coach for the team is Chuck DeFord.

Chesteen Chapple, veteran science teacher at Silver Lake High School, has been selected to set up an organization of Kosciusko County amateur radio operators prepared to furnish organized emergency communications in time of disasters. His assignment, which carries the title of emergency coordinator, is to band together members of the amateur radio service in the county, to perfect arrangement for emergency radio communication by “hams” in the event of natural disasters or other emergencies.

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Shaffer, Mrs. Vesta Hines, Gene Hines, Robert McAndrews and Jerry Hines will go to Evanston to visit with Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Gibson and daughter, Bessie, and with Miss Elizabeth Hines, who is a student at Northwestern University.

Mr. and Mrs. Matt Murtaugh, of Warsaw, recently went to Canada. Friday they visited the Dionne quintuplets at Callander, Ont.
