The Warsaw Tigers sixth-grade boys basketball team posted an undefeated record in the Fort Wayne Regional 3A-4A tournament at Spiece Fieldhouse and qualified for the state tournament. Players are Nick Harman, Nick Simpson, Aaron Humphrey, Josh Anglin, Zack Linky and Roberto Martinez, all of Harrison; Brandon Head, Washington; Andy Conrad, Eisenhower; Justin Clemens, Sacred Heart. The coach is Brian Linky and assistant coaches are Tim Conrad and Mark Anglin.
Warsaw’s winter most valuable players are Jacob Boots, wrestling; Adam Griggs, basketball; Nate Taylor, swimming; Jaclyn Leininger, basketball; Brittney Meek, cheerleading; Andrea Calhoun, gymnastics; Becca Noggle, swmming

Kelly Dicken, Michelle Weidenbenner, Kara Light and Pam Jarecki will be showing many beautiful gowns from Wedding Traditions during the Annual Rosary Altar Society’s Salad and Dessert Bar and Style Show April 11. Clothing from Kline’s will be featured.
Gretchen Gunter, seventh-grader at Warsaw Middle School, is the winner of the American Association of University Women poster contest, winning a $100 savings bond courtesy of First National Bank. Holly Hapner took second prize and Rachel Kinley, third.

Warsaw High School senior forward Dean Rummel was named to the All-Central Indiana High School Basketball Conference second team at the annual championship banquet at Tipton High School. Rummel, Atwood, scored 366 points last season for a 15.9 average.
Ronald and Dale Haney, sons of Wilbur Haney, Claypool, have graduated from the International Business College, Fort Wayne. Both are graduates of Sidney High School.
“It’s A Girl” will be the junior class play at Sidney High School in April. Cast members are Harry Kyler, Kathleen Metzger, Stanley Swartz, Patsy Patrick, John Leiter, Kathy Michael, Elmer Ousley and Susan Leckrone, John Dome, Jim Mantle. Patsy Kreis is in charge of publicity; Mamie Kaim is director.

James Pottenger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Pottenger, Warsaw, was awarded a bronze medal for third place in the state oratorical contest held Friday evening at Manchester College. He defeated five other contestants with his brilliant oration, “Treasures Destroyed.” Barbara Barnhart won first in the women’s debate Friday.
Wallace Bash, son of Mrs. Flint Bash, Warsaw, has been elected to membership in the Nu Sigma Nu medical fraternity at Indiana University.
Members of the Eagles Lodge and their families celebrated the organization’s eighth anniversary Friday with a Hill Billy program. Cousin Elmer and his six-piece band; Robert Wedertz, magician and ventriloquist; and the Hoosierettes of Kosciusko County entertained with musical and novelty numbers.
