Red Cross Volunteers Needed

Volunteers will receive a free sack lunch provided by Pro-Techs as well as a free T-shirt.
The families of Kosciusko County are at greater risk from fire than any other disaster so the local Red Cross takes time each year to distribute fire safety information and a battery for smoke alarms. Homes without a smoke detector will be offered a free detector. The American Red Cross of Kosciusko County has assisted numerous families who have suffered the trauma of a home fire.
It is part of the Red Cross Mission to help communities prepare for disaster and encourage people to take steps to minimize the risk of potentially preventable disasters like home fires, by remembering two key fire safety steps: install a working smoke alarm and develop a fire escape plan.
A functioning smoke alarm is the single most important factor in preventing deaths or injuries from a home fire.
