Red Cross Opens Resource Room For Military And Families

Thanks to a grant from the Department of Defense, a computer with Internet access and software will be available for members of the military, veterans and their families.[[In-content Ad]]Family members can send messages and pictures through e-mail, can video conference through Skype and send video messages.
Software also will be available for service men and women to build a resume and do financial planning. TurboTax software will be available to file tax returns.
The resource room is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Red Cross Kosciusko Chapter, 320 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
An open house for the resource room will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
After-hour appointments can be requested by calling 574-267-5244.
American Red Cross employees will ask for identification or military service.
Julie Fleurantin from the American Red Cross said that every branch of the military is welcome, and that when service men and women or their families come in, they will be registered so they can use the resource room.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
