The final touches are being put on preparation for the Red Ball Senior Prom Saturday. Information now is available on the items that will be included in the auction portion of the event.

The featured necklace (pictured) was recently completed. Designed and crafted by Bill Allen, Allen Designs, the necklace is one-of-a-kind, with a large 11-1/2-mm black Tahitian South Seas pearl and 49 brilliant cut diamonds totaling just under 1 carat, set in a scroll-shaped pendant. The chain is a heavy 18-inch, 14-karat yellow gold, in the diamond-cut wheat design.

In addition to the necklace, some of the other items in the live auction include: a trip to a romantic bed and breakfast, dinner in a home on Lake Wawasee and dinner at Joseph DeQuis and a limousine ride for four.

Items for the silent auction include: a prom pamper package; pearl necklace; decorative painted side table; coffee extravaganza package valued at $250; two tickets to the 2003 Air Show in Dayton, Ohio; two identical classic kid cars; a Syracuse beauty package; a painted antique ceiling tin; Weber grill class picnic party; "after prom" amusement park tickets; and dinner at the Brick House.

The prom is at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the North Webster Community Building in the former gym. [[In-content Ad]]
