She was born Sept. 25, 1932, in Allen County, to Merle R. and Opal Forrest Brunson. On May 19, 1951, she married Forest E. Ambrose, who died April 8, 1994.
Surviving are three sons, including Dennis (and spouse Janet) Ambrose, Claypool, and Scott (and spouse Connie) Ambrose, Warsaw; a daughter; six grandchildren; and four step- grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and nine brothers.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
