By Staff Report-

The Kosciusko Board of REALTORS® recently presented $2,800 to the Kosciusko County Habitat for Humanity that was raised during its inaugural 5K Run/Walk.
The family event, the first Build A Home Run, was held July 18 at the Trails of Winona Lake. Fifty-five runners and walkers and 17 sponsors helped raise the money to benefit currently eligible Habitat families to finally move into their new homes.
One of those families is the Robersons, who were set to move into their new North Webster home Friday. A Home Blessing was held on North Hickory Street Friday evening, according to Mickey Kaufman, Kosciusko Habitat executive director.
Kaufman and the family thanked all of the volunteers who helped build, both materially and financially, the Robersons’ new home, according to the announcement from Habitat. The Board of REALTORS® where proud to be a small part of helping the Robersons achieve their dream home, the announcement states.
The goal of this First Annual Build A Home-Run was to begin a long-lasting partnership between the REALTORS® and their affiliates with Habitat. By sharing the same vision, to provide safe, affordable housing in Kosciusko County, we can make an impact in our communities that will benefit from stable home occupancy, the announcement states.[[In-content Ad]]
