COLUMBIA CITY - Raymond Junior Miller, 81, of Warsaw, died at 8:36 a.m. June 11, 2008, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Aug. 9, 1926, in South Whitley, to Carl F. and Nila Irene Schrader Miller. On May 15, 1965, in Columbia City, he married Wanda Jean Shawver, who preceded him in death.

He was a 1944 graduate of Washington Center High School, Whitley County, and was a U.S. Navy veteran, stationed on the USS Iowa and USS Yorktown. Moving to Warsaw in 1976, he was a retired manager of Quality Farm & Fleet, Warsaw. He was a member of Christ's Covenant Church, Winona Lake, and American Legion Post 49, Warsaw.

Surviving are his children: Terry (and spouse David) Murray and Steve (and spouse Angela) Miller, both of Fort Wayne; Kenny (and spouse Lisa) Miller, Columbia City; and Dale Miller, Peru; a sister, Rosalie (and spouse Jim) Hazen, South Whitley; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at DeMoney Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastor Larry McCall officiating. Burial will be in Washington Union Cemetery, Pierceton.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
