Carol and Norman Rappe will mark their 50th wedding anniversary July 27, 2008. Carol Rippey and Norman Rappe were married July 27, 1958, at First United Methodist Church in Portland, Ind., with the Rev. Virgil Bjork officiating.

The couple lived in New Jersey for seven years where she taught school and he worked in human resources at RCA. The couple returned to Indiana in January 1966 and lived in Muncie for 30 years while he worked at Ball Corp. in Elwood. They moved to Winona Lake in 1995 and he completed his career at Royalite Corp. in 1997. She was an elementary school teacher and a Christian education director.

The couple have two children, Susie (and spouse Steve) Hreha, Berne, and Douglas (and spouse Christine) Rappe, Dawsonville, Ga. They have three grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate the anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 1 to 4 p.m. July 5 at the Connection Campus of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw. Cards may be sent to the couple at 2401 Eastwood Road, Winona Lake, IN 46590.[[In-content Ad]]
