Dan and Eileen Ransbottom, Claypool, celebrated thier 40th wedding anniversary June 1, 2008. Dan Ransbottom and Eileen Smith were married June 1, 1968, at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is employed by Ransbottom Excavating and Trucking and Ransbottom Farms. She is a Clay-Area Preschool assistant.

The couple have three children: David (and spouse Michelle) Ransbottom, Debra (and spouse Brad) Johnson, and Deric (and spouse Heidi) Ransbottom. They have eight gradnchildren.

The couple celebrated the anniversary with a trip to Fort Myers Beach, Fla.[[In-content Ad]]
