PIERCETON -- Randall Buren O'Dell, 62, of Pierceton, died at 6:15 a.m. July 4, 2011, in his residence.

He was born Nov. 27, 1948, in Imboden, Ark., to Sidney L. and Madge Smith O'Dell. He married Cheryl LaFollette, who preceded him in death. 

He graduated from Pierceton High School in 1967. He was a material handler at R.R. Donnelley & Sons for 25 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of American Legion Post 258, Pierceton, and American Legion 40&8 833. He served in the U.S. Army - RA QMC Germany as a SP4 during the Vietnam War from 1967-70.

Surviving are a sister, Sylvia Deeter, Warsaw; and three brothers, Brooks OÕDell, North Manchester, and Bill  and Gary OÕDell, both of Pierceton.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, with Chaplain Jerry Hartman officiating and with military honors by members of American Legion Post 258 and the ARNG.

No calling is planned.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, is in charge of arrangements.
