NORTH MANCHESTER - Ralph W. Miller, 87, of North Manchester, died at 10 p.m. June 16, 2008, in his residence.

He was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Fort Wayne, to Silas F. and Nettie E. James Miller. On Nov. 19, 1944, he married E. Pauline Fingerle, who survives.

He worked at Cyclone Manufacturing, Urbana, for 23 years, retiring in 1986. He helped with plumbing at Manchester College, North Manchester, from 1988-2006. He was a member of Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester.

Also surviving are a son, William C. (and spouse Marsha) Miller, North Manchester; a daughter, Deanna F. Newton, Warsaw; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, five brothers and four sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester, with Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the church.

DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
