Ralph Minnix, 66, Pierceton, passed away at 5 a.m. Sept. 13, 2015, in his residence.
He was born July 31, 1949, in Jackson, Ky., to Weldon and Edith Burton Minnix. On May 8, 1980, in Clintwood, Va., he married Pamela K. Yoder, who survives in Pierceton. They were married for 35 years.
Living most of his life in the Kosciusko County area, he worked for Explorer Van, Warsaw, as a driver for 30 years, retiring in 2013. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family and going out for drives.
Also surviving are four children: Charley Thomas, Palestine; Janice (and spouse Bill) Hyde, Pierceton; Jeremy (and spouse Angela) Thomas, North Manchester; and Dawn (and spouse Will) Hyde, Sidney; one brother, Lowell (and spouse Audrey) Minnix, Pierceton; three sisters, Carolyn (and spouse Barry) Sapp, Sidney; Brenda Norris, Bosewell, Okla.; and Freda (and spouse Kenny) Boggs, South Whitley; seven grandchildren: Brandon Breece and Cody Thomas, both of Milford; Austin and Braxton Hyde, both of Pierceton, Dakota and Keea Hyde, both of Sidney; and Brooklyn Thomas, North Manchester; and two great-grandchildren, Keegan and Korbin Breece, Milford. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd, Harold, and Noah “Bo” Minnix, and two sisters, Maddie Rhodes and Zula Faye Owens.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating. Burial is in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel, Pierceton.
