SYRACUSE – Ralph Caudill, 71, Syracuse, passed away at 8:40 a.m. Jan. 25, 2015, at his residence.
He was born March 26, 1943, in Melvin, Ky., to Alvin and Pearlie Slone Caudill. On Dec. 17, 1966, in Elkhart, he married Beatrice K. “Kay” Morse, who survives in Syracuse.
He grew up in Kentucky and graduated in 1963 from Wheelwright (Ky.) High School. He moved from Kentucky to Elkhart in 1963 and then to Syracuse in 1972.
He retired in 2003 from Dana Corporation (formerly Weatherhead) in Syracuse after 31 years of service, and formerly worked at Windsor Trailer Factory in Bristol for 10 years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Misty Conrad, Syracuse; a son, Donald R. (and spouse Norma) Caudill, North Webster; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters: Melvie Newman, Arkansas; Mavis Mounts and Bonnie Blankenship, both of Columbus, Ohio; Claudette Edwards, Elkhart; three brothers: Elmer “Ray” (and spouse Barb) Caudill and Donald (and spouse Peggy) Caudill, all of Elkhart; and Joseph (and spouse Jackie) Caudill, Melvin, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Travis Caudill; three sisters: Helen Johnson, Jewel Agnes Caudill and Wilma Jane Caudill; and an infant brother, Ronald James Caudill.
Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with the Rev. Ray Caudill officiating. Private family burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Syracuse.
Calling is from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
