Purdue Club Presents Scholarships

Purdue Club of Kosciusko County awarded scholarships to two students from the Purdue Scholars of Kosciusko County Fund.

The fund was established through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation to provide financial assistance to deserving students from Kosciusko County who are beginning their third or fourth year at Purdue University.

The Purdue Club announced Benjamin Nault and Nathan Taylor as this year's recipients of the award.

Nault is being awarded a $1,000 scholarship. He is a junior at Purdue University, West Lafayette, studying chemistry, to graduate in May 2011. Nault is a Warsaw resident and 2006 graduate of Whitko High School. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Purdue, he plans to pursue graduate studies in analytical chemistry.

Taylor also is being awarded a $1,000 scholarship. He will be a junior at Purdue University, majoring in mechanical engineering, to graduate in May 2010. Taylor is a Warsaw resident and 2006 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. After graduating from Purdue, he plans to enter the energy systems field and specialize in renewable and alternative sources of fuel.[[In-content Ad]]

Warsaw Community High School Fine Arts Festival Returns Thursday
Warsaw Community High School (WCHS) invites the community to celebrate the arts at the annual Fine Arts Festival on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the WCHS Performing Arts Center and Black Box Theater.
