County Jail Bookings
The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
n 9:55 a.m. Wednesday – Kimberly Kay Rangel, 53, of 522 E. Main St., Warsaw, arrested for strangulation and battery. Bond: $2,000.
n 3:10 p.m. Wednesday – Donald Bruce Hawkins Jr., 39, Marion, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $1,000.
n 6:41 p.m. Wednesday – Jason Michael Peterson, 33, of 10520 S. Pleasant Drive, Silver Lake, arrested for disorderly conduct. Bond: $750.
n 11:36 p.m. Wednesday – Whitney Lee Patterson, 27, of 519 Meadow View Drive, Syracuse, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and driving on a suspended license. Bond: $550.

Property Damage Accident
n 9:24 p.m. Wednesday – S. CR 275E, 80 feet north of CR 400S, Winona Lake. Vehicle hit parked vehicle registered to an unknown owner. Driver: Joshua W. Green, 27, CR 500E, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.

n 8:29 a.m. Wednesday – A Silver Lake woman reported battery in the 3200 block of Eldora Drive, Silver Lake. KCSD.
n 9:10 a.m. Wednesday – A Warsaw woman reported a battery and strangulation attempt in the 500 block of East Main St., Warsaw. Warsaw Police Department investigated.
n 10:02 a.m. Wednesday – A Leesburg woman reported a home improvement fraud in the 5300 block of East Brown St., Leesburg. KCSD.
n 11:26 a.m. Wednesday – A Warsaw woman reported a lost passport in the 200 block of West Main St., Warsaw. KCSD.
n 2:26 p.m. Wednesday – A Walmart employee reported a theft in the 2500 block of Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. WPD.
n 4:59 p.m. Wednesday – A Walmart employee reported a theft in the 2500 block of Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. WPD.
n5:54 p.m. Wednesday – A Warsaw woman reported a theft of her purse in the 100 block of East Ramar Drive, Warsaw. WPD.
