• 11:24 p.m. Wednesday - Nathan Steber, 21, Olney Ill., arrested for public intoxication. Bond: $300.

• 11:59 p.m. Wednesday - Michael David Mench, 25, of 1409 N. Workman Drive, Syracuse, arrested for possession of a controlled substance. No bond set.

• 3:30 a.m. Thursday - Benjamin J. Steber, 18, Olney , Ill., arrested for aggravated battery, misdemeanor battery, disorderly conduct and possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor. Bond: $2,000.

• 8:28 a.m. Thursday - Kevin Lynn Brock, 29, of 1283 N. CR 875W, Etna Green, arrested for domestic battery. Bond: $500.

• 4:06 p.m. Thursday - Charles Burton See, 22, of 2965 S. CR 1075E, Akron, arrested for sexual battery. Bond: $10,000.

• 7:10 p.m. Thursday - Harry Michael Cordell, 41, of 5633 N. Oswego Road, Warsaw, arrested for driving while intoxicated. Bond: $550.

• 3:11 a.m. today - Kevin Michael Bracken, 35, Willow Springs, Ill., arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Bond: $350.

• 3:17 a.m. today - Michael Dennis Cassidy, 42, Naperville, Ill., arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Bond: $350.

• 4:33 a.m. today - Ian Andrew Thomas, 27, West Chicago, arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Bond: $350.

• 1:36 p.m. Thursday - Intersection of U.S. 30E and CR 250E, Warsaw. Car-van collision. Drivers: Taggett Allen, 76, Park Avenue, Warsaw; Gregory Barletta, 46, Eastleroy, Ohio. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 6:42 p.m. Thursday - Fort Wayne Street, 200 feet east of Detroit Street, Warsaw. Car hit railroad signal post. Driver: Marjorie E. Amiss, 64, County Farm Road, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. WPD.

• 9:28 a.m. April 13 - An employee of Warsaw Church of God, Rozella Road, Warsaw, reported a break-in to the church. KCSD.

• 8:28 p.m. Monday - An employee of Katie Quick Mart, Main Street, Leesburg, reported the theft of $38.01 in gasoline. KCSD.

• 10:45 a.m. Tuesday - Frank Cooper, Jupiter, Fla., reported the theft of a television, VCR, two outboard engines, a fuel tank, a tool cabinet, tool box, a drill, a circular saw, hand tools, a fish finder, and an electric grill from a residence at EMS T18 Lane, Leesburg. KCSD.

• 9:58 a.m. Wednesday - Becky Marti, Pelican Way, Claypool, reported the theft of 40 antique window screens, handmade wooden candle holders from her garage. KCSD.

• 12:10 p.m. Wednesday - Dave Munson, CR 550S, Claypool, reported the theft of two corn drums from a barn. Value: $600. KCSD.

• 8 a.m. Thursday - An Etna Green woman reported being battered. KCSD.

• 10:04 a.m. Thursday - An employee of Susie's Sandbar, Center Street, Warsaw, reported a break-in to the business and the theft of liquor. WPD.

• Noon Thursday - Helen V. Banghart, Clark Street, Warsaw, reported the theft of a possible fraud. WPD.

Warsaw Gets Past Goshen On Penalty Kicks, Advances
A September match between the Warsaw and Goshen girls soccer teams resulted in a 1-1 tie after a hard-fought match. Tuesday night, the two teams met for a second time on a much bigger stage: the opening round of the 3A girls soccer sectional tournament at Elkhart High School. With a winner having to emerge this time around, it came down to penalty kicks, with the Lady Tigers winning 5-3 after a 0-0 tie.
