The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

n 2:18 p.m. Thursday - Michael Antoine Banks, 19, Fort Wayne, arrested for possession of marijuana. Bond: $500.

n 7:31 p.m. Thursday - Jeanna Ruthann Backus, 34, of 1692 CR 200N, Warsaw, arrested for check deception. Bond: $250.

n 6:05 p.m. Thursday - Steven John Clemans, 47, of 19 EMS B5A Lane, Leesburg, arrested for escape and theft. Bond: $2,000.

n 10:42 p.m.Thursday - Ociel Vallejo Jr., 24, of 12656 CR 250E, Milford, arrested for probation violation. No bond set.

n 4:04 a.m.Friday - Kyle David Dehart, 18, of 1136 CR 450E, Syracuse, arrested for driving while intoxicated and being a minor in possession of alcohol. Bond: $750.

n 7:46 p.m. Wednesday - Intersection of CRs 600S and 400W, Claypool. Pickup hit pole. Driver: Austin D. Caudill, 25, CR 600S, Claypool. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSD.
