County Jail Bookings
The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

- 7:17 a.m. Wednesday – Eugene Jack Sleezer, 37, Avilla, arrested for theft. Bond: $1,500.
- 11:51 a.m. Wednesday – Justin Nathan Langley, 34, of 1208 Elm St., Rochester, arrested on an outstanding warrant. No bond set.
- 3:16 p.m. Wednesday – Mark Nathan Golden, 23, of 13290 N. CR 200W, Milford, arrested for failure to appear in court. Bond: $1,000.
- 3:23 p.m. Wednesday – John David Sigsbee, 33,  Goshen, arrested for intimidation. Bond: $2,000.
- 3:26 p.m. Wednesday – Jess Willard Collins, 28, Garrett, arrested for failure to appear in court. No bond set.
- 7:49 p.m. Wednesday – Jennifer Lichtenberger, 41, of 3699 N. CR 175E, Warsaw, arrested for theft. Bond: $2,000.
- 7:57 p.m. Wednesday – Christopher Spangle, 26, of 3699 N. CR 175E, Warsaw, arrested for theft. Bond: $2,000.
- 11:29 p.m. Wednesday – Jon Kevin Rightsell, 23, of 502 N. Franklin St., Mentone, arrested for arson. Bond: $5,000.
- 2:19 a.m. Thursday – Paula Renee Shuey, 37, of 303 S. 3rd St., Pierceton, arrested for battery. Bond: $500.
- 3:42 a.m. Thursday – Eddie Scott Mallory, 28, of Temple, Ga., arrested for theft. Bond: $2,000.

Personal Injury Accident
- 6:22 a.m. Wednesday – Intersection of Backwater Road and EMS W 29 Lane, North Webster. One vehicle struck a utility pole. Driver: Brenda K. Weaver, 53, Kimmell. Injuries: Weaver complained of neck pain. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department investigated.

Property Damage Accidents
- noon Sunday – Intersection of Beer Road and CR 175 East, Milford. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: William C. Houser, age not available, 513 S. Beer Road, Milford; Pierce Abbott, age not available, 207 W. Main St., Syracuse. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.
- 1:20 p.m. Wednesday – Intersection of West Warren Drive and CR 350W, Warsaw. One vehicle struck a brick corner post. Driver: Karen Demerly, 45, of 3441 W. Warren Drive, Warsaw. Damage:$2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.

Divide And Conquer
Editor, Times-Union: It is glaringly obvious to anyone with functioning brain cells that today’s MAGA (formerly known as the Grand Old Party) has only one strategy to win the 2024 election: divide and conquer and pull the wool over the voting public’s eyes. Their playbook consists of misinformation, distortion of facts, projections, conspiracy theories and plain old bald-faced lies. If they cannot find damning evidence of lawlessness or evil deeds in their opponents’ resumes, they just make something up: Kamala’s intelligence or race, Tim’s real pet dog or his mysterious connection to China; Biden’s unwillingness to help America’s catastrophe victims.
