 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
n 9:22 a.m. Thursday – Arista Ann Butcher, 21, of 4031 N. Old Port Road, Warsaw, arrested for theft – less than $100,000 in value. Bond: $2,000.
n 3:14 p.m. Thursday – Darryl A. Fields, 47, of 1216 N. Park Ave., Warsaw, arrested for habitual traffic violations. Bond: $5,000.
n 10:58 p.m. Thursday – Chad Everett Swope, 37, of 5875 S. Woodland Lane, Warsaw, arrested on two counts of failure to appear. Bond: $25,500.
n 11:30 p.m. Thursday – Rick Roger Landmeier, 53, McHenry, Ill., arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $15,000.

n 12:07 a.m. Thursday – Norh CR 175E, 900 feet north of East CR 75N, Warsaw. Vehicle struck deer. Driver: Francisco Ybarra, 19, East Hendrix Street, Warsaw. Damages: $750 to $1,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
n 9:35 a.m. Thursday – South Packerton Road, 1,000 feet north of East CR 800S, Warsaw. Driver lost control and struck a utility pole. Driver: Tascha D. Lester, 38, North Mill Street, North Manchester. Damages: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD.
n 11:32 a.m. Thursday – Intersection of South Ind. 13 and East Shoop Road, Pierceton. Vehicle struck stop sign. Driver: Nancy J. Stoddard, 79, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton. Damages: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.
n 4:48 p.m. Thursday – 508 N. Parkway Drive, Syracuse. Driver lost control and stuck Nipsco pole. Driver: Cortney M. Rassi, 18, North Parkway Drive, Syracuse. Damages: $2,500 to $5,000. Syracuse Police Department investigated.
n 7:11 p.m. Thursday – South CR 200W, 500 feet west of North CR 1200S, Silver Lake. Vehicle struck deer. Driver: Jeff P. Gable, 49, North CR 300W, North Manchester. Damages: $5,000 to $10,000. Silver Lake Police Department investigated.
