County Jail Bookings The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail: • 8:56 a.m. Monday – Timothy John Tjernagel, 40, of 2080 Sunset Drive, Warsaw, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $1,000. • 10:27 a.m. Monday – Merne Marie Calland, 45, of 427 E. CR 1150N, Milford, arrested for theft and criminal conversion. Bond: $2,500. • 12:23 p.m. Monday – Thomas Edward Skeens, 45, of 217 N. Walnut St., Etna Green, arrested for parole violation. No bond set. • 1:02 p.m. Monday – Brittany Kay Barringer, 23, of 16 EMS C17A Lane, Warsaw, arrested for possession of marijuana. Bond: $450. • 7:39 p.m. Monday – James Brian Wallen, 22, of 1681 Paxton Drive, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear and on a warrant in a civil matter. Bond: $10,500. • 3:09 a.m. Tuesday – Ian Richard Method, 18, of 11326 CR 142, New Paris, arrested for possession of marijuana. Bond: $450. Personal Injury Accidents • 7:25 a.m. Monday – Intersection of U.S. 30 and South CR 900E, Pierceton. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Barbara S. Dunfee, 58, Wolf Road, Columbia City; David D. Callison, 46, Buckingham Place, North Manchester. Injuries: Dunfee suffered minor head bleeding; Callison complained of chest pains. Damages: $10,000 to $25,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated. • 2:59 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of Sue Avenue and Green Hill Drive, Warsaw. Vehicle collided with two unoccupied vehicles. Driver: Gayle A. Cart, 57, South CR 400W, Warsaw. Injuries: Cart suffered minor neck bleeding. Damages: $10,000 to $25,000. Warsaw Police Department and KCSD investigated. Property Damage Accidents • 7:30 a.m. Monday – Intersection of U.S. 30 and South CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver was unaware of the unoccupied upside down vehicle and sideswiped it. Driver: Toran L. Savant, 29, Lynwood Drive, Syracuse. Damages: $2,500 to $5,000. Pierceton Police Department investigated. • 2:47 p.m. Monday – Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers backed into each other. Drivers: Rodney D. Heltzel, 46, Park Avenue, Warsaw; Donald M. Chadwick, 70, North CR 100E, Warsaw. Damages: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD. • 3:51 p.m. Monday – Intersection of Lake City Highway and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Two-vehicle rear-end collision. Drivers: Clayton E. Moore, 17, Packerton Road, Silver Lake; Jeffery L. Miller, 59, Apple Road, Bourbon. Damages: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD. • 10:33 p.m. Monday – Intersection of County Farm Road and West CR 550S, Claypool. Driver hit a deer. Driver: Austin M. Montel, 21, West CR 700S, Claypool. Damages: $5,000 to $10,000. KCSD. Incidents • 2:48 a.m. Monday – A Claypool man was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital by an ambulance in the 2300 block of West CR 800S, Claypool. KCSD. • 8:57 a.m. Monday – Theft was reported in the 200 block of School Street, Leesburg. KCSD. • 10:40 p.m. Monday – Theft was reported in the 600 block of Lake Street, Warsaw. WPD. • 1:15 a.m. Tuesday – A Warsaw man was wanted on a warrant out of another state and taken into custody in the 100 block of Bell Drive, Warsaw. WPD.
