County Jail Bookings
The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

- 1:23 p.m. Thursday – Shadow Ray Shepherd, 19, of 5985 W. King Fisher Drive, Mentone, arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Bond: $2,000.
- 2:18 p.m. Thursday – Leandro Torres Lopez, 19, Fort Wayne, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $750.
- 6:19 p.m. Thursday – Hayden Brady Piersall, 21, of 5518 W. CR 450E, Leesburg, arrested on three counts of battery. Bond: $1,000.
- 9:33 p.m. Thursday – Ryan Robert Brow, 20, of 110 N. Union Drive, Winona Lake, arrested for criminal confinement and strangulation. Bond: $2,000.
- 10:53 p.m. Thursday – Casi Jane Leland, 49, of 223 W. Jefferson St., Warsaw, arrested for theft. Bond: $2,000.

Personal Injury Accident
- 1:40 p.m. Thursday – Intersection of Ind. 15N and Plaza Drive, Warsaw. Two-car collision. Driver: Patti R. Miner, 59, Heather Court, Warsaw; Savina Kralis, 89, Gililam Drive, Warsaw. Injury: Kralis complained of chest pain. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

Property Damage Accidents
- 10:09 a.m. Thursday – Intersection of Dubois Drive and Provident Court, Warsaw. Two-car collision. Drivers: Harry E. Warren, 93, Robin Drive, Warsaw; Donald C. Grimm, 66, West John Road, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. WPD.
- 5:42 p.m. Thursday – Ind. 25S, 350 feet south of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Thomas L. Gibbs, 58, Bruner Road, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. WPD.
- 6:08 p.m. Thursday – Intersection of Herscher and St. Mary’s drives, Warsaw. Car hit utility pole. Driver: Jared C. Bloom, 17, Dausa Court, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500–$5,000. WPD.

- Wednesday – A Silver Lake woman reported being threatened. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
- 10:22 a.m. Wednesday – A Big R employee, Commerce Drive, Warsaw, reported a theft. Loss: $56.18. WPD.
- 11:40 a.m. Wednesday – A Silver Lake man reported checks stolen and used. Loss: $44.39. KCSD.
- 1:22 a.m. Thursday – A Winona Lake man reported a theft from a vehicle on the 2600 block of Faunn Street, Winona Lake. KCSD.
- 9:38 a.m. Thursday – A Warsaw man reported a theft of items from a residence in the 800 block of North Park Avenue, Warsaw.
- 2:17 p.m. Thursday – Joanna S. Bentley, East Burkhart Drive, Warsaw, reported a hit-skip accident to her vehicle. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. WPD.

Facing off against Northern Lakes Conference Champions Northridge for the second time this season, the Warsaw girls soccer team had its work cut out for them in order to win the match and advance to the 3A sectional championship game at Elkhart. After a masterclass of a defensive performance as well as a timely goal, the Lady Tigers advanced with a 1-0 win.

County Council Adopts 2025 Budget
Kosciusko County Council wrapped up the county’s 2025 budget by adopting the ordinance for it on second reading Thursday evening. The first reading of the budget ordinance was held Sept. 12.
