n 12:49 p.m. Wednesday – Marcella Kaye Guise, 41, of 915 E. Garfield St., Warsaw, arrested on a warrant in a civil matter and for theft – less than $100,000 in value. Bond: $2,671.
n 1:28 p.m. Wednesday – Zackery Tyler Ross, 19, of 107 N. Jefferson St., South Whitley, arrested for theft – less than $100,000 in value. Bond: $1,500.
n 5:56 p.m. Wednesday – Gustavo Contreras Sandoval, 35, of 27 EMS T6A Lane, Leesburg, arrested for invasion of privacy. Bond: $500.
n 9:53 a.m. Thursday – Shamra Leigh Shepherd, 33, Columbia City, arrested for theft – less than $100,000 in value. Bond: $1,000.
n 11:12 a.m. Thursday – Charles Laustin Kreider, 24, of 223 W. Jefferson St., 2, Warsaw, arrested for disorderly conduct. Bond: $1,000.
n 11:49 a.m. Thursday – Clifford Aubert Clevenger, 41, of 9727 N. Koher Road, E, Syracuse, arrested for invasion of privacy. Bond: $10,000.
n 1:03 p.m. Thursday – Carrie Ann Poorman, 21, Elkhart, arrested on two counts of failure to appear. Bond: $1,000.
n 2:08 p.m. Thursday – Eric Michael Sasso, 21, of 411 W. Pike St., Warsaw, arrested for battery by means of strangulation and resisting law enforcement. Bond: $2,000.
n 3:56 p.m. Thursday – Clinton Allen Carden, 47, of 1103 N. Iroquois Drive, Syracuse, arrested for domestic battery. Bond: $1,000.
n 4:01 p.m. Thursday – Mario Munez Martinez, 30, of 340 E. Levi Lee Road, 88, arrested for operator never licensed. Bond: $350.
n 8:24 p.m. Thursday – James Paul Grothaus, 19, of 2904 E. Longspur Lane, Warsaw, arrested for illegal possession of an alcoholic beverage. Bond: $300.

n 10:30 a.m. Thursday – Intersection of Lake City Highway and U.S. 30, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Mark D. Burgess, 41, Hebron; Sandy J. Brantley, 37, Valdosta, Ga. Injuries: Burgess  was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital in fair condition. Damages: more than $100,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

n 6:02 p.m. Thursday – A Nappanee woman reported attempted fraud in the 9200 block of West Hepton Road. KCSD.
n 9:24 p.m. Thursday – Police responded to a report of trouble with a juvenile in the 1900 block of La Vista Drive, Warsaw. WPD.

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt. Kevin Gelbaugh as the jail commander and Chad Marsh as the assistant jail commander, and to say I am proud of all their work and accomplishments would be an understatement.

Two separate petitions before the Warsaw Plan Commission on Monday dealt with properties near or along North Detroit Street (Ind. 15) north of U.S. 30.
