The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

- 12 a.m. Friday - John Henry Ault, 66, of 8979 W. CR 1250S, Akron, arrested for possession of marijuana. Bond: $450.

- 1:13 a.m. Friday - Amanda Marie Nobles, 18, Mishawaka, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set.

- 2:42 a.m. Friday - Melissa K. Crosby, 40, of 715 W. Portland St., Syracuse, arrested for driving while intoxicated. Bond: $2,000.

- 6:46 a.m. Friday - Joshua Daniel Schmucker, 27, of 1202 E. Center St., Warsaw, arrested for public intoxication. Bond: $300.

- 3:30 p.m. Friday - Rex Kendray Groves, 30, Logansport, arrested for failure to appear. Bond $750.

- 8:41 p.m. Friday - Joshua David Hill, 27, of 202 E. Harrison Court, Syracuse, arrested for habitual traffic violation. Bond: $5,000.

- Oct. 17 - Nicole Davis, Riverwood Avenue, Warsaw, reported theft of a cellular phone. Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department investigated.

- 9:10 p.m. Oct. 20 - A Pierceton woman reported battery/strangulation at her residence. KCSD.

- 5:49 p.m. Oct. 22 - Michael Rich, West Union Road, Warsaw, reported the theft of a 2005 Trax silver mountain bike, two jeep bumpers and two boxes of pans and tools from a shed at his residence. Value: $1,800. KCSD.

- Oct. 22 - Scott Egolf, West CR 550S, Claypool, reported the theft of a trailer. KCSD.

- 11:31 a.m. Friday - Paul Shepherd, West Hoffman Lake Road, Warsaw, reported theft from his vegetable stand on Old 30 in Atwood. KCSD.
