The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:

• 1:55 p.m. Wednesday - Joshua Spencer, 23, of 1692 E. CR 200N, Warsaw, arrested for theft/shoplifting. Bond: $2,000.

• 5:16 p.m. Wednesday - Gary Dewayne Thornburg, 32, of 109 Acorn St., Syracuse, arrested on two civil warrants. Bond: $1,000.

• 10:35 a.m. Monday - CR 450N, 2,500 feet east of CR 375E, Leesburg. Car hit fence. Driver: Chris A. Garza, 48, CR 350W, Warsaw. Damage: $750-$1,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department investigated.

• 7:46 a.m. Wednesday - Ind. 13S, 150 feet north of Epworth Forest Road, North Webster. Car hit deer. Driver: Bradly J. Kincaid, 20, Center Street, Larwill. Damage: $750-$1,000. KCSD.

• 10:41 p.m. Wednesday - U.S. 30W, 1,000 feet west of Old 30, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Gregory F. Ramp, 34, Andrews. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 11:03 p.m. Wednesday - U.S. 30W, 1,000 feet west of Old 30, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Melissa K. Marshal, 31, Mulberry Street, South Whitley. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. WPD.

• March 6 - Adam B. Nelson, CR 550W, Warsaw, reported the theft of a CD player and cellular telephone from his vehicle. Value:$ 200. KCSD.

• March 6 - Kevin Kindig, CR 150S, Akron, reported the theft of a CD player from his vehicle. Value: $260. KCSD.

• March 6 - Chad W. Hoffer, Snyder Road, Atwood, reported the theft of a CD/DVD player, two speakers and an amplifier from his vehicle. Value: $3,000. KCSD.

• 7:24 p.m. Sunday - Melissa Hamilton, Harkless Drive, Syracuse, reported damage to her vehicle. KCSD.

• 10:09 a.m. Tuesday - An employee of Noble Stores (Pride Gas Station), Turkey Creek Road, Syracuse, reported the theft of items from the store and receiving a counterfeit $50 bill. KCSD.

• 4 p.m. Tuesday - A Cromwell man reported trouble with a juvenile. KCSD.

• 5:30 p.m. Tuesday - A Warsaw woman reported being battered. WPD.

• 9:30 p.m. Tuesday - A Cromwell man reported trouble with a juvenile. KCSD.

• 5:24 p.m. Wednesday - Mark Alan Fox, Armstrong Road, Warsaw, reported the theft of two industrial-sized air conditioning units. Value: $20,000. WPD.
