Denver and Patsy Prater, Pierceton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 29, 2010.

Denver and the former Patsy Tolson were married Oct. 29, 1960, by Pierceton Justice of the Peace Ernest Hackbirth.

He owned Denver's Mobile Home Service, retiring after 18 years. She worked at Da-Lite Screen, retiring after 29 years.

They have three children, Rhonda (and spouse Brian) McCleary, Warsaw, and Scott (and spouse Sandie) Prater and Dennis (and spouse Charity) Prater, all of Pierceton; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate with an open house Oct. 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Pierceton Community Building (behind the firestation).
