Chip and Jan Powers, Indianapolis, announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Elizabeth Powers, Indianapolis, to Keith Mitchell Kindig. He is the son of Greg and Sheila Kindig, Akron.

The bride-to-be is a special education assistant teacher at Madison Elementary, Warsaw. She graduated from Pike High School, Indianapolis, in 2006, and Ivy Tech Community College.

The groom-elect is a machinist at Rochester Medical Implants, Rochester. He graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School in 2005 and earned associate degrees in injection mold tooling and advanced manufacturing from Vincennes University in 2007.
