Post 49 Plans Birthday Party, Recognizes Local Airport, Officers

American Legion Post 49 will celebrate the Legion's 88th birthday March 31 at 5 p.m. All American Legion members are encouraged to attend. This is a carry-in dinner. All meats will be provided by the Post.

"We are a nation at war," said Commander Bob Morrison. "Our troops and thier families need our support more than ever. If you receive veteran's benefits, these came about because of your G.I Bill of Rights, which the American Legion authored.

"Every day the Legion fights for veterans' rights to make life more bearable for our veterans."

The evening also includes recognition of the Warsaw Municipal Airport and its role in homeland security. The Legion will announce the Legion's Choice for Military Person of the Year, Firefighter of the Year and Police Officer of the Year. Entertainment for the evening is Karaoke by Claudette.[[In-content Ad]]
