Police Seek Public Help in Credit Card Thefts

On Friday, a victim called Warsaw Police Dept. to report three of her credit cards stolen. The resulting investigation indicated that Christopher B. Clapp, 30, was responsible for the theft and use of the credit cards. More than $515 in cash and cigarettes was obtained before the cards were cancelled.
For a week prior to the thefts, the suspect had been renting a room from the victim. The suspect was tracked to a local hotel, but had left before police arrived and has not been seen since.
In this case, two felony fraud warrants have been issued for the arrest of Clapp, and his last recorded address was 4105 Kuder Lane, Warsaw.
Clapp also is wanted on two felony warrants in Richland County, Ohio, for theft and aggravated assault, as well as Missoula County, Mont., for felony theft.
Clapp is described as 6 feet tall, 195 pounds, short dark hair and green eyes.
