Police Seek Leads In North Webster Robbery Try

Police are seeking the public's help in learning the identity of an attempted armed robber.

The drawing is a computer-generated composite of the possible suspect.

According to Detective Sgt. Todd Sautter of the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, the woman went to the home of an elderly North Webster man about 10:50 p.m. Dec. 3 and asked to use the telephone. She told him her name was Monica.

The man let the woman into his home and went to retrieve the telephone. When he turned around, she reportedly was holding a knife with a 5-inch blade. The victim told the woman to leave and she did.

The woman is believed to be in her mid-teens to early 20s and is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with brown hair. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a Starter coat with a shiny material.
