Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the McClure Oil gas station, 9311 S. Ind. 15, Silver Lake, today at 1:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 report of a possible robbery.
As officers were en route to the location, KCSD Sgt. Kevin Gelbaugh located an unoccupied black 1997 Ford Mustang in the area of CRs 950S and 200W. Information was relayed to officers at McClure Oil and it was determined that this vehicle had apparently fled the robbery scene with two males suspects.
KCSD detectives investigating the robbery were informed that two Caucasian males had entered the business wearing black hooded sweatshirts with their faces covered. The suspects, estimated to be in their late 20s, took an undetermined amount of cash from the register as well as numerous cigarettes. Detectives also discovered that the Ford Mustang had been stolen from a North Manchester car lot overnight, along with a black 1995 Chevy Camaro.
This morning, detectives were contacted by Wabash County Sheriff’s Department deputies that the stolen 1995 Chevy Camaro had been recovered in their county.
North Manchester, Wabash and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Departments are currently working together at this time on information related to the investigation.
Any person that might have information related to the overnight crimes are encouraged to call any of the three law enforcement agencies.[[In-content Ad]]
