Planning Under Way For 2011 Day Of Caring

United Way of Kosciusko County announced that planning for the 2011 Day of Caring is underway.
The Day of Caring planning committee met this morning to discuss this year’s Day of Caring, which is Aug. 17.
Applications for projects are currently being accepted from those in the community who are elderly, disabled, disadvantaged and/or low income.
Last year, the event included 12 communities in Kosciusko County. There were 117 projects completed by more than 1,250 volunteers.
The work ranged from yard and painting work to roof repairs and ramp building. The committee expects more projects this year.
The event is sponsored by United Way of Kosciusko County in partnership with the Housing Opportunities of Warsaw, Kosciusko County Senior Services and Grace College.
