Planned Parenthood

“It’s a boy” and “It’s a baby.” Words spoken by a Planned Parenthood employee as the parts of an aborted baby are sorted through. Over the past several weeks, videos have revealed Planned Parenthood selling the tiny organs of babies killed in its abortion facilities. This is just another reason (and the worst so far) why pro-lifers and even some pro-choice people have a problem with over half a billion of our federal tax dollars going to Planned Parenthood every year.
In the past, Planned Parenthood affiliates have been accused of fraud in government reimbursements for services. Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast agreed to pay a $4 million settlement for Medicaid fraud. Planned Parenthood affiliates across the U.S. have been accused of overcharging the government millions of dollars.
Planned Parenthood opposes laws that protect women and children including regulation of abortion doctors and clinics, parental notification, informed consent and laws limiting late-term abortions. Planned Parenthood employees have been caught assisting in the sex-trafficking of minor girls as well as neglecting the health and safety of patients.
And now we have upper-level employees of Planned Parenthood negotiating over the harvesting and sale of the body parts of unborn babies. The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years. Federal law also requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection.
As presidential candidate, Dr. Ben Carson has stated, “If it’s not a human being then why are you harvesting organs from it?” As sad as the Cecil the Lion situation is, it is an indictment on our country and society that Cecil initiates more grief and outrage than the killing and dismemberment of 3,000 human babies every day.
Planned Parenthood claims they provide health services to women in a professional and ethical manner. The facts show these claims to be false. Women and babies deserve better. It’s time that we stop sending our tax dollars to Planned Parenthood.
