Pierceton Woman Faces Drug, Theft Charges

PIERCETON - A Pierceton woman was arrested early this morning after police found drugs on her while she was allegedly stealing items from a Goodwill Store drop-off box.

Janet Antoinette Combs, 36, of 707 W. Tower St., Pierceton, was booked into Kosciusko County Jail at 5:38 a.m. today on charges of theft from a business, possession of methamphetamine and marijuana and public intoxication.

According to a press release from the Pierceton Police Department, patrolman Matt Owens was conducing a patrol of local businesses in Pierceton when he observed Combs allegedly removing items from a Goodwill Store drop-off box.

While conducting the theft investigation, Owens discovered Combs in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana and under the influence of alcohol.

The case remains under investigation by the Pierceton police.
