Pierceton Seniors Held Meeting

PIERCETON – The Pierceton Seniors met at the Senior Center July 18 at 6 p.m. for a carry-in supper and meeting.

President Donna Werstler opened the program with the blessing for the meal. “God Bless America” was led by the Melloaires, the senior group.

Twenty-nine members and 21 guests attended.

“Happy Birthday” was sung to Donna Werstler, Anna Bell Richards, Bonnie Sexton, Regina Attenbrite and Ron Bradford from the Melloaires.

Betty Rose Stahl had an interesting reading on the flag.

They also had a speaker, Rhonda Wireman, on diabetic supplies. Call 574-594-5632 for brochures at the center or 260-750-7117.

The entertainment for the evening was enjoyed by the singing of the Melloaires led by Dorine Barkes and Jean Hoover, accompanied by Norma Roose on the piano.

Next month’s meeting will be Aug. 15 with a carry-in.

The entertainment will be Bill Shaske on the piano accordian and the singing of his wife, Pat. Come and bring a friend.
