She was born Sept. 29, 1933, in Altoona, Pa., to Orville Claire and Emma Mae Tilson Grabill. On June 29, 1957, she married Lee LeMoyne Kantenwein, who survives.
She graduated from Altoona High School in 1951. She was part of the musical productions for the annual shows as a soloist. A resident of Kosciusko County for the past 46 years, she was a homemaker, a devoted pastor’s wife, a piano teacher and the playground supervisor at Lincoln School, Warsaw. She retired from Grace College, Winona Lake, in 2001 as the switchboard operator after 25 years. A gifted musician starting at a very young age, she was a pianist, organist and contralto soloist. She was a speaker and presenter of musical programs with her daughters from mother-daughter banquets and elsewhere. She was also a longtime member of Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw, where she was also the organist.
Also surviving are two sons, Murry L. Kantenwein, Warsaw, and Scott A. (and spouse Carol) Kantenwein, Wooster, Ohio; two daughters, Cynthia J. (and spouse Larry) Buckholz, Warsaw, and Sheryl L. (and spouse Gene) Gephart, Bourbon; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald L. (and spouse Theresa) Grabill, Polk City, Fla. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pleasant View Bible Church, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Michael Hontz. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
