Phyllis Jeanette Polman, 85, of 188 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, died at 10:40 p.m. Jan. 27, 2008, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born May 3, 1922, in Dayton, Ohio, to Roy H. and Julia Ann Boitnott Kinsey. On Aug. 22, 1944, in Dayton, she married Gerald Bernard Polman, who survives in Winona Lake.

Living in Kosciusko County for 21 years, she was a homemaker and a pastor's wife for more than 50 years. She was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, Winona Lake, and a member of the Good Sam Club.

Also surviving are a son, Roy Lee (and spouse Judy) Polman, Cherry Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Ann (and spouse Dave) Grant, Jacksonville, Fla., and Kay (and spouse Jeff) Bowling, Cumming, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.

A memorial service will be from 2 to 3 p.m. today at Grace Village Retirement Community Chapel, Winona Lake.
