BOURBON – Phyllis I. Stiver, 87, of Bourbon, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Aug. 18, 2011, in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, Culver, after a brief illness.

She was born March 21, 1924, in Bremen, to  Raymond and Viola Pfeiffer Cline. On April 30, 2008, she married Vere H. Stiver, who died April 30, 2008.

She was a faithful member of First United Church of Christ, Bourbon, the Women’s Guild of the church and the Homemakers Club. She retired from United Auto Parts Supply (formerly Faulkner and Augustine), where she was a secretary and accountant bookkeeper. She  was a graduate of Bourbon High School.

Surviving are two sons, Paul (and spouse Brenda)  Stiver, Argos, and Steve (and spouse Cindy) Stiver, Warsaw; a grandson, Christopher; two step-grandchildren; and a brother, James (and spouse Janette) Cline,  Kingsport, Tenn.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, with the Rev. Linda Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
