She was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Detroit, Mich., to Arthur Joseph and Eloise Frieda Smith Vickery. On Dec. 5, 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, Macks Neil Mann, who preceded her in death.
She was a retired bartender for the American Legion Post #253 in North Webster until moving to Michigan to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She enjoyed boating, fishing and trips to the casino.
She is survived by her son Joseph “Joe” (and spouse Mary) Mann, Niles; a sister, Jeanette Nadine (and spouse William) Mowery, North Webster; three brothers: Robert Lee (and spouse Ellen) Vickery, Warsaw; Joseph Brian (and spouse Nancy) Vickery, Fort Wayne; Daniel Mann (and spouse Mary) Vickery, Muncie; five grandchildren whom she adored: Ann M. Brown, Trenton, Mich.; Erika Lynn Mann and Joseph Daniel (and spouse Heather) Mann, all of Riverview, Mich.; Katherine Elizabeth (and spouse Ryan) Bono, Taylor, Mich.; and Samuel Clayton (and spouse Kayla) Bono, Fort Wayne; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She also leaves two very special women, her aunts Mackie and Billy Sue, both residing in southern Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Arthur J. and Rosemary Vickery; her mother and step-father Eloise F. and Leo Pattenaude; two brothers, Arthur William “Butchy” and James David Vickery; as well as her grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a time to celebrate her life is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post #253, North Webster.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Niles.
