Pet Food Pantry Needs Donations

By Staff Report-

One Dog at a Time Rescue understands that people in this community love their pets.

And during the holidays it can be difficult to find the money to purchase the kids a little something for under the Christmas tree and put good healthy food on the table for the family, too.

There is sometimes very little money left over to purchase food for their beloved pets, too.

The ODTR Pet Food Pantry has been in place since June, and through donations from the public there have been 2,604 pounds of dog food and 740 pounds of cat food donated to Combined Community Services.

CCS gives this gift to families who have proven financial need.

One Dog At A Time Rescue asks residents to think of the hungry dogs and cats when purchasing Christmas gifts this year.

Pick up a bag of dog or cat food (or treats) and One Dog at a Time Rescue volunteers will pick it up.

Cat food is in very short supply.
