Mr. and Mrs. Roger Pendowski, Kouts, announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Nicole, to Corey Russell Wagoner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wagoner, Warsaw.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Kouts High School and a 2006 graduate of University of Indianapolis. She received her bachelor's degree in exercise science and is pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy.

The groom-elect is a sales representative for Astra Tech Dental, Indianapolis. He is a 1999 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and received his bachelor's degree in marketing from Ball State University in 2004.

A June 2 wedding is planned.

Kathleen N. Anderson-Takacs, 84, of Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. Kathy was born on Aug. 14, 1940, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Darwin and Jane Gibson. On April 17, 2004, she married Bill Takacs in Gatlinburg, Tenn., who survives.
