SYRACUSE - Peggy Eileen Peace Snyder, 66, of 201 E. Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse, died at 6:30 p.m. July 19, 2007, in Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Dec. 14, 1940, in Crawfordsville, to Howard and Virginia Sue Thomas Peace. On Nov. 21, 1980, in Cromwell, she married Owen Snyder, who survives.

She was a homemaker, a member of American Legion Auxiliary 243, Ligonier, and past president and member of Eagles Lodge 3760, Syracuse.

Also surviving are three daughters, Debbie Smith and Mrs. Marty (Marcia) Nading, both of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Odell (Darla) Frasure, Milford; two sons, Dan Overfelt, Waynetown, and Mike Overfelt, Nappanee; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Gregory Snyder, Gardner, Mass., and Phillip Snyder, Warsaw; two stepdaughters, Linda Stout, Lake Orion, Mich., and Sheila Pelletier, Ashby, Mass.; three sisters: Mrs. Jim (Kay) Mitchell, New Market; Mrs. Steve (Jill) Hadley, Indianapolis; and Mrs. John (Patty) Rupprect, Bullhead, Ariz.; and a brother, Ed Peace, Sun City, Ariz. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Syracuse Cemetery with Pastor Brad Cox officiating.

Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
