Paul J. Ulrey, 89, of Warsaw, died at 8:40 a.m. June 11, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born May 3, 1923, in Sidney, to Alpheus and Cora Ross Ulrey. On Oct. 25, 1958, in South Whitley, he married Patricia Deane Loe, who died July 23, 2011.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was a product planning Supervisor at R.R. Donnelley, retiring  in 1985 with 23 years of service.

He loved putting together model airplanes and cars, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. He enjoyed going to auto shows, was an avid reader and totally remodeled their home.

Surviving are two sons, Harold “Hal” (and spouse Diane) Scott, Etna Green, and Paul James “Jim” Ulrey II, Warsaw; six daughters: Jo Anne Jarrett, Fort Wayne; Cindy Sue Fisher, Bremen; Sharon Lee Sowers, Fishers; Deborah Kay (and spouse Kerry) Ducker, Bloomington; Ruth Ellen (and spouse Robert) Voreis, Claypool; and Linda Lou (and spouse Michael) Getz, Warsaw; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law; five sisters and a brother.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will be in Ulrey Memorial Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
