NORTH MANCHESTER - Paul A. Grisso, 84, formerly of Sidney, died at 6 a.m. Sept. 11, 2010, in Wesley Healthcare Park, Auburn.

He was born Jan. 21, 1926, in Sidney, to Fred. A. and Morna Hale Grisso. On May 24, 1960, he married Mildred Irene Huffman Junkin, who died June 20, 2000.

He worked for his father for many years at the Fred A. Grisso & Co. building construction and concrete manufacturing business in Sidney. He later worked at Whitley Manufacturing Co., South Whitley, until his retirement. He served as staff sergeant in the elite U.S. Army Third Division during the invasion of Germany in World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 258, Pierceton, and Warsaw Masonic Lodge 73 F&AM.

Surviving are two stepsons, Carl Junkin, Mesa, Ariz., and Jack Junkin, Fort Wayne; three stepdaughters: Carol Ann Miller, Fort Wayne; Charlene Hoffman, Akron; and Sharon Turner, Auburn; a brother, Dr. Karl Max Grisso, Charleston, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Herbert Krueger, Fort Wayne; three nephews: Dr. Jerry Dickey, Fort Worth, Texas; Jan Dickey, San Antonio, Texas; and Fred Krueger, Fort Wayne; a niece, Kay Evans, Fort Wayne; 27 step-grandchildren; and 35 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester, with Pastor Doug Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Calling is two hours prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
