MENTONE – Patricia R. Gross, 84, Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, and formerly of Etna Green, died at 8:05 a.m. Nov. 3, 2015, at Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake.
She was born June 7, 1931, in Kosciusko County, to Howard and Olive Linn Hudson. On Oct. 7, 1962 in Swayzee, she married Loren D. Gross, who preceded her in death Aug. 10, 1999.
She was an accountant, retiring from Kralis Brothers Foods of Mentone. She was a 1949 graduate of Mentone High School. She had been a member of the Mentone Reading Club, DAR, American Legion Auxiliary, as well as being a member of the Mentone United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting carnival glass, many kinds of antiques, traveling, square dancing, reading and loved genealogy.
Surviving are a son, Gary (and spouse Denise) Gross, Warsaw; a great-nephew, Austin Whitaker, Warsaw; two brothers, Dale Hudson, Winona Lake, and Don (and spouse Betty) Hudson, Etna Green; one sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Norma Metheny; and two brothers, Dick and Kenneth Hudson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home.
