Patricia M. Besson, 80, of Warsaw, died at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 19, 2008, in her residence.

She was born Dec. 22, 1927, in North Manchester, to Dallas and Pearl Metzger Wood. On Feb. 22, 1948, in North Manchester, she married K. Paul Besson, who survives.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a retired farmer's wife and a homemaker. She also worked at DePuy and Schrader Automotive. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, and volunteered at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was a 1945 Sidney High School graduate. She was married to her husband for almost 60 years.

Also surviving are two daughters, Diana (and spouse Michael) Powell, Claypool, and Lynn (and spouse James) Rupley, Corunna; a son, Robert (and spouse June) Besson, Columbia City; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Eddie (and spouse Janice) Wood, Claypool; and a sister, Marilyn (and spouse Bruce) Pottenger, North Manchester. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Andy Martin officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

No calling is planned.
