COLUMBIA CITY – Patricia A. Maroney, 75, of Columbia City, died at 7:48 p.m. Sept. 18, 2012, in Grace Village Healthcare, Winona Lake.

She was born Jan. 8, 1937, in Highland Park, Mich., to Henry H. and Margaret C. Kendall Bowman. On Sept. 7, 1957, she married Daniel R. Maroney, who survives.

She graduated from Redford High School in 1953, attended Michigan State University and earned a bachelor’s degree at Wayne State University in business with a minor in psychology. She lived in Ferndale and Chelsea, Mich., and Perrysburg, Ohio, before moving to Columbia City in 1968. She  worked at Lincoln National Life Insurance, Fort Wayne,  retiring in 1995. Her memberships included Tri Kappa, Michigan State Alumni and the Michigan Jaycees.

Also surviving are four children: Kathleen Patricia Vessey, Fairfax Va.; Michael Daniel Maroney, Warsaw; Carrie Ann (and spouse Michael) Yocum, Winona Lake; and Mari Lynne (and spouse Brian) Wineland, Columbia City; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Maroney; and a sister Margaret “Peg” Currie, Palm Bay,  Fla. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Chelsea, Mich.

Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Smith and Sons and from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Sunday at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.
