Rick and Jill Parker, Claypool, announce the engagement of their daughter Julie Parker, Claypool, to Shaun Shepherd, Claypool. He is the son of Larry and Mary Lou Marshall, Akron, and Terry and Caroline Shepherd, Fort Wayne.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron. She received her associated's degree in medical assisting in October 2003. She is a certified medical assistant with Warsaw Medical Group.

The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron. He is a CNC machinist at Biomet, Warsaw.
