Owen's Donates to Optimist Club

Charles Neuwirth (L), Owen’s Supermarket East, presents a check for $1,190 to Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club member Sandy Engelberth (R).

The local Optimists Club teamed up with Neuwirth and Owen’s last year to sell Christmas trees. They decided to assist the club with the project and donated $5 per tree sold back to the club.

Neuwirth stated they sold 233 trees this year, more than the other 140 stores in the district. The success of the project has started a Kroger-wide program for all stores to donate $5 per tree sold to local charities.[[In-content Ad]]
