NAPPANEE – Owen Miller, 71, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, and formerly of Nappanee, died at 9:40 a.m. Nov. 15, 2012, in Goshen IU Health, after a brief illness.
He was born March 14, 1941, in Kosciusko County, to Eli E. and Elsie Borkholder Miller.
He had lived in Hutchinson, Kan., for 33 years and moved back to Nappanee in 2001. He formerly worked at Liberty Coach in Indiana and Kansas and retired from Doskocil Foods, Hutchinson, Kan. He was a member of North Main Street Mennonite Church and was raised in the Amish Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Edna E. and Nina E. Miller, both of Nappanee. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at North Main Street Mennonite Church with the Rev. Ruben Chupp officiating. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
